Spotlight on for Taiwan-based home appliance makers at CES 2006

Taiwan-based home appliance producers expect to aggressively compete for the spotlight with new LCD TVs at CES 2006.

Kolin, which partners with Syntax-Brillian, plans to introduce LCD TVs from 20-47 inches in size.

Proton Electronic Industrial will debut its 55-inch HD LCD TV at CES along with 32-, 37-, 42- and 47-inch models from its Puriti line.

Another LCD TV maker Teco Electric & Machinery is scheduled to roll out its 42- and 47-inch LCD TVs at CES

Sampo will show 32-, 37-, and 42-inch LCD TVs.
