BenQ announced the first member of its Prestige Line (PL) Series line of high-performance LCD TVs with a new 42-inch model, the PL4271 at CES 06’ mega event.

PL4271, the high standard performance LCD TV with a new 42” model is HDTV-compatible (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i), and provides a high resolution, and high-speed performance with an 8-millisecond response time and high contrast ratio (1000:1).

Featuring BenQ’s proprietary “Senseye” digital-enhancement technology that automatically and dynamically improves image quality, adjusts brightness and darkness levels, performs color mapping procedures, and reduces jagged edges on images to depict the best quality graphics. The preset mode of operation can be preferred that corresponds to the content that they are viewing (e.g., Cinema, Dynamic, Personal and Standard), and Senseye adjusts contrast, color and sharpness settings, which notably enhances the display of graphics-intensive applications such as gaming, entertainment and professional multimedia presentations.

For an astonishing high-definition (HD) picture quality, the PL4271 uses Motion Adaptive de-interlacing, one of the most advanced forms of de-interlacing technology available. This technology processes each pixel independently, resulting in the highest-quality image possible.

The audio quality delivered is also awe-inspiring. The D2Audio’s intelligent digital amplifier that performs sound optimization and correction on the audio signals production promises to produce high-quality and reliable, repeatable performance, equivalent to top analog amplifiers.

The PL4271 will be available at a Street Price of $2,999 from February 2006.
