Sony informed Reuters of difficulties with about 400,000 of the flat panel displays and rear-projection TVs in the Bravia or Grand Wega. They may have faulty software that could leave users unable to turn them off or bring them out of standby mode.

Sony Previews A High(er) Definition Television Future At CES

Additionally, Sony previewed a new home network system compliant with Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) standards and an all-in-one home theater system featuring an LCD TV/DVD player and 2 channel surround audio.

Smarthouse has a really nice article on Sony’s KDL-V40A10 from the new Bravia range. It won their “Best of the Best Award for Best LCD over 32 inches”.
While some say otherwise, Sony is placing its bets that bigger is, in fact, better when it shows off a new LCD television at CES 2006 in January. The company has developed an 82-inch display, which will further prove that TFT displays can reach sizes attained by plasma and rear-projection televisions.
